A great day in the water.

Maumere was once a top diving destination, but the earthquake and ensuing tsunami of 1992 destroyed most of the coral in the area and the tourism industry along with it. Thankfully, the coral has started to regrow, and tourists are slowly but surely coming back as well. Check out some highlights from a great day snorkeling around the smaller islands just off the coast.
