O Simple Present é usado após as expressões after (depois), as long as (contanto que), as soon as (assim que), before (antes), by the time / when (quando), until / till (até) e whenever (sempre que) em orações adverbiais de tempo para indicar algo que ocorrerá no futuro.

After she finishes her homework, she’ll go to the movies.
Assim que ela terminar sua tarefa, ela irá ao cinema.

As long as he takes his medicine, he’ll be fine.
Contanto que ele tome seu remédio, ele ficará bem.

As long as he needs special care, you’ll have to look after him.
Contanto que ele precise de cuidado especial, você terá de cudiar dele.

As soon as I hear any news about my scholarship, I’ll e-mail you.
Assim que eu tiver notícias sobre a minha bolsa de estudos, eu te mando um e-mail.

As soon as he finishes lunch, he’ll take a nap.
Assim que ele terminar de almoçar, ele vai tirar uma soneca.

He’ll run a virus scan before he turns off his computer.
Ele vai passar um antivirus antes de desligar o computador.

By the time they get home, the program will be over.
Quando eles chegarem em casa, o programa terá acabado.

By the time their apartment is furnished, they’ll get married.
Quando seu apartamento estiver mobiliado, eles se casarão.

When I go to the USA, I’ll buy some DVDs.
Quando eu for aos Estados Unidos, comprarei alguns DVDs.

You won’t leave the table until you eat your vegetables!
Você não sairá da mesa até que coma a verdura!

Whenever you press the red button, you’ll hear a beep.
Sempre que você apertar o botão vermelho, você ouvirá um bip.
