Japanese Food Museums Posted by Ginny on Oct 22, 2010 in Uncategorized
Japan has a few good food museums, meaning that these are probably the only museums in which you can get away with eating food in the museum.
Momofuku Ando Instant Ramen Museum (インスタントラーメン発明記念館) is located in Osaka (大阪). It’s an interactive museum where you can make your own cup ramen. You can choose your own ingredients and package them for consumption.
The Sapporo Beer Museum (サッポロビール博物館) is located in Hokkaidō (北海道). At first the Museum was a sugar company, but it was later turned into a brewery, which was then converted into a beer museum. There is a place where you can try a selection of different beers and learn the history of beer in Japan.
Shin-Yokohama Rāmen Museum (新横浜ラーメン博物館) offers several famous ramen shops where visitors can try different selections of ramen noodles. Guests can also smoke, relax and buy souvenirs like ramen bowls, utensils, and even instant ramen.
