¡Hola a todos!

Hoy es viernes y, como saben, me gusta mucho ser positivo en todo pero hay días en los que no nos despertamos muy bien y creo que es importante saber hablar de eso en español. Entonces abajo tienes un diálogo entre dos amigos que hablan sobre eso.

Sergio: ¡Hola, Felipe! ¿Qué te pasa? ¿Te sientes mal?
Felipe: A decir verdad, no estoy en uno de mis mejores días. Me duele la cabeza desde anoche y ahora tengo ganas de vomitar.
Sergio: ¡Qué mal, hombre! ¿Puedo hacer algo por ti?
Felipe: No, creo que no, peo gracias de todas formas. Ya me he tomado dos aspirinas desde ayer, pero no me han hecho mucho efecto.
Sergio: ¿Puede haber sido algo que comiste?
Felipe: No lo sé. No he comido nada diferente últimamente, pero puede ser… Si no me pasa en un rato, me parece que voy a ir al médico.
Sergio: Haces bien.

Vocabulario

¿Qué te pasa? – What’s the matter with you? What’s up?

sentirse mal – to feel bad

a decir verdad – to tell the truth, honestly

no estoy en uno de mis mejores días – I’ve had better days, I’ve been better (lit. I am not in one of my best days)

tengo ganas de – I feel like (doing something)

vomitar – to throw up

¡Qué mal, hombre! – That’s awful, man!

gracias de todas formas – thanks anyway

tomarse – to take (pills)

hacer efecto – to have effect (medicine)

puede haber sido – maybe it was

puede ser – it could be

si no me pasa – if it doesn’t go away (pain)

en un rato – in a while, in a moment

me parece – I think

haces bien – you’re doing good, “I guess you should”

Learning tip! Read the dialogue several times and try to recreate it with your own words. There are several fixed expressions in the vocabulary part and using them will allow you to become more fluent in Spanish.
