Welcome to the second part of this blog post where we’re still talking about the way Twitter users responded to the UN campaign :حملة الأمم المتحدة “Unite to end violence against women” اِتّحدوا لإنهاء العنف ضد المرأة that is celebrated on the 25th Of each month. “Orange the world” or “لوّن العالم برتقاليًا” is the slogan for this campaign شعار هذه الحملة . Last week’s post provided some information about the campaign and focused on the Arabic hashtags created about it. In today’s post, I’m going to focus on some images بعص الصور and posts المنشورات that users shared التي تشاركها المستخدمون about the topic of violence against women حول موضوع العنف ضد المرأة .
So, as we talked about in the last post, Twitter users created many hashtags to raise awareness of this campaign and one of the popular hashtags was:
The campaign was focused on the need to believe the victims الضحايا/survivors النّاجيات so they don’t stay at the mercy of their perpetrator لكي لا يبقون تحت رحمة المُجرم/المعتدي.

In addition to hashtags, Twitter users posted many photos that included statistics إحصائيات and facts حقائق related to incidents of violence مرتبطة بحوادث العنف against women. Most of the the graphs are produced by the United Nations هيئة الأمم المتحدة.
