Celebrating Dai New Year in southern Yunnan.

The Dai people in Southern Yunnan province celebrate their New Year from April 13-15, just as the people in Thailand and Cambodia do. This 3-day festival kicks off with a parade, dragon boat races, and thousands of flying lanterns being released into the sky along the Mekong River.
