Asheville Day Two Video

Lots of great views on Day Two!

Check it out in the 2nd video in our “72 Hours in Asheville” series:

“Day Two in Asheville begins with a cruise along the Blue Ridge Parkway. This All-American Road is famous for its scenic beauty. There are several overlooks along the way where you can stop to admire the scenery.

There are also many hiking trails along the Parkway, such as the Mt. Pisgah trail. It’s a moderate level hike that’s about 2 miles round trip. There’s a big TV tower at the top of the hill, where you can enjoy panoramic views of the Blue Ridge Mountains and Asheville.

While you’re out here, you might as well stop at the Pisgah Inn. Grab a drink and head outside to kick back and relax in a rocking chair. Dinner here may include soup, fried green tomatoes, crab cakes, baby back ribs, or mountain trout. Wash it down with a North Carolina craft beer.

If you’ve still got some daylight, head to the River Arts District. This area is home to hundreds of artists who have set up studios in old historical and industrial buildings. You’ll find plenty of awesome street art around here, too.

Asheville is home to several great craft breweries, including Wedge. This is a local favorite that has a food truck, funky decorations, and plenty of delicious brews on tap. Nearby, you can also find the New Belgium Brewery. They’re originally from Colorado but opened a location here in Asheville in 2016. Choose from their long list of beers and head outside to enjoy the view of the French Broad River.

Right across the river, you’ll find this water tower that is a good representation of the city, as it says good vibes on the front and smile now, cry later on the back. With the sun going down, it’s time to head out to catch some live music…”
