The travel website TripAdvisor has a list of the top 25 travel destinations in the United States, most of them are cities, and many of them you have probably heard of, but there are a few in this list that may be new to some people and are certainly worth looking at as they offer a little more perspective on the diversity of what there is to see in the United States.
First of all, here is the list of the top 10 travel destinations in the United States:

These are some pretty diverse places all around the United States, but take a look at some of these other, less known places, further down the list of most visited destinations in the United States.

Let’s take a quick look at these four American destinations that didn’t make the top 10 list, but are still very special places.
Sedona is found in Arizona‘s high desert surrounded by beautiful red rock and sandstone formations. This is a small city, more like a town, with around 10,000 people and many additional tourists. Tourists often go to Sedona to enjoy outdoor adventure and to see the beautiful scenery.
Savannah, Georgia is the oldest city in the state of Georgia and a pretty old city in the United States in general. It was established in 1773. Savannah is a small, port, city, but it attracts many tourists each year who want to look at the old buildings, interesting architecture, and enjoy the beautiful tree lined streets that have long Spanish moss hanging down from the trees.
Napa, California is found in northern California, away from the big cities of the coast. This city has a slower pace and is famous for the many nearby wineries. Many visitors go to Napa tour the local wineries and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of the area.
As the name implies, Myrtle Beach is on the coast. It is a small city on the Atlantic coast in the state of South Carolina. This is a small beach city of about 28,000 people. The summers are hot and humid, but that doesn’t keep people away, in fact most people go to Myrtle Beach in the summer to spend time in the sand and waves and on the boardwalk.
