Wherever you live on the planet, if you’re old enough to remember les années 90 (the 90’s), then can’t have missed it on TV.
This dessin animé (cartoon) has in fact inspired countless of real-world champions of le football, including Del Piero and Zidane.

“Olive et Tom“ is mainly the story of a young boy from le Japon (Japan), who is still in elementary school. He loves le foot with an unrelenting passion, and his rêve ultime (ultimate dream) is, un jour (one day), to lift the trophee of the World Cup for his country.

As it is often the case, before “Olive et Tom” was turned into a cartoon, it was originally une bande dessinée (a comic strip.)

Les caracteres principaux (the principal characters) of this saga footballistique are:

* Olivier: Nicknamed “Olive”, he is the undisputed héro.

* Tom: His nom complet (full name) is Thomas Price, le gardien de but (the goalkeeper) of Olivier’s team.

* Marc Landers: He is le grand rival, if not the archnemesis, of Olivier, famous for his powerful “tir du tigre” (tiger shot.)�

* Warner: Marc Landers’ goalkeeper, who’s definitely not easy to score on.

* Roberto: Roberto is Brazilian. Once upon a time, he played for the national team of his country, the “Seleção.“Now that he can’t play anymore, he has Olivier as his protégé.
