In continuation of our topic of formation of adjectives in Hindi, I will show you some more suffixes. These suffixes are ऐला (aela), इम (em), इल (el), ईन (een), आलु (aalu), उक (uk), ईला (eela), एरा (ela), मान (maan), वान (vaan), वाला (vaala) and आड़ी (aadi).

So, lets explore the above-mentioned suffixes in context of formation of adjectives.

ऐला (aela) प्रत्यय (Suffix)
You can form adjectives by adding ऐला (aela) suffix to the noun as following:vi

विष (Vish – Poison) -> विषैला (Vishaela – Poisonous)

इम (em) प्रत्यय (Suffix)
You can form adjectives by adding इम (em) suffix to the noun as following:

आदि (Aadi – Etc/Origin) -> आदिम (Aadim – Aboriginal)
स्वर्ण (Svarn – Gold) -> स्वर्णिम (Svarnim – Golden)

इल (el) प्रत्यय (Suffix)
You can form adjectives by adding इल (el) suffix to the noun as following:

स्वप्न (Svapn – Dream) -> स्वप्निल (Svapnel – Dreamy)

ईन (een) प्रत्यय (Suffix)
You can form adjectives by adding ईन (een) suffix to the noun as following:

कुल (Kul – Clan/Family) -> कुलीन (Kuleen – Noble )

आलु (aalu) प्रत्यय (Suffix)
You can form adjectives by adding आलु (aalu) suffix to the noun as following:

दया (Dayaa – Compassion) -> दयालु (Dayaalu – Compassionate)
कृपया (Kripya – Kindness) -> कृपालु (Kripyaalu- Kind)
झगडा (Jhagda – Quarrel) -> झगडालू (Jhadgaalu – Quarrelsome)

उक (uk) प्रत्यय (Suffix)
You can form adjectives by adding उक (uk) suffix to the noun as following:

काम (Kaam – Sex) -> कामुक (Kaamuk – Sensual)
भाव (Bhaav – Emotion) -> भावुक (Bhaavuk – Emotional)

ईला (eela) प्रत्यय (Suffix)
You can form adjectives by adding ईला (eela) suffix to the noun as following:

खर्च (Kharch – Expense) -> खर्चीला (Kharchila – Expensive)

एरा (ela) प्रत्यय (Suffix)
You can form adjectives by adding एरा (ela) suffix to the noun as following:

चाचा (Chacha – Pat. Uncle) -> चचेरा (Chachera – Cousin)

मान (maan) प्रत्यय (Suffix)
You can form adjectives by adding मान (maan) suffix to the noun as following:

बुद्धि (Bhuddhi – Intelligence) -> बुद्धिमान (Bhuddhimaan – Intelligent)

वान (vaan) प्रत्यय (Suffix)
You can form adjectives by adding वान (vaan) suffix to the noun as following:

बल (Bal – Force) -> बलवान (Balvaan – Strong)
धन (Dhan – Money) -> धनवान (Dhanvaan – Rich)
शक्ति (Shakti – Power) -> शक्तिवान (Shaktimaan – Powerful)

वाला (vaala) प्रत्यय (Suffix)
You can form adjectives by adding वाला (vaala) suffix to the noun as following:

दूध (Dudh – Milk) -> दूधवाला (Dudhvaala – Milkman)

आड़ी (aadi) प्रत्यय (Suffix)
You can form adjectives by adding आड़ी (aadi) suffix to the noun as following:

खेल (Khel – Game) -> खिलाडी (Khiladi – Player)
