This month, the Jaipur Literature Festival took place in Jaipur, which is also called ‘The Pink City’. The main venue was hosted by the Diggi Palace Hotel. The Jaipur festival occurs every year and is the main gathering place for literature critics, authors, and people who just love to read books. It’s a festival where new authors are recognized for their work and where people can buy all sorts of books from a wide selection spanning many genres.

The Jaipur Literature Festival attracts intellectuals from all over the world. This is a festival where readers can mingle with the authors and engage in a friendly chat about books. Although the main focus of the festival is around books, other artistic events are hosted in the Jaipur Literature Festival. Indian music, dance and even fashion are presented for public display. Here was some of the music acts that performed in this year’s Jaipur Literature Festival:

Public gatherings like the Jaipur Literature Festival are especially important in today’s modern society. Gatherings such as these show that books can still survive the digital age, and that there are people who still want to spend their time with intellectual pursuits. In the age of reality television, it’s good to know that books are still an important part of people’s lives! It’s a shame that there are only five days devoted to the festival.
