to hang up on someone: to end a phone conversation on purpose (desligar na cara de alguém)

• The telemarketing agent hung up on me right in the middle of my complaint | O agente de telemarketing desligou na minha cara bem no meio da minha reclamação 
• Kelly was so angry at the airline company for not helping her change her flight that she simply hung up on them! | Kelly ficou tão brava com a companhia aérea por não ajudá-la a mudar seu vôo que ela simplesmente desligou na cara deles!

to speak up: to talk in a louder voice (falar mais alto)

• Can you speak up, please? I can’t hear a word you are saying! | Você pode falar mais alto, por favor? Não consigo escutar uma palavra do que você está dizendo!
• It is so noisy in here! If you don’t speak up we won’t be able to understand each other | Está tão barulhento aqui! Se você não falar mais alto, não vamos conseguir nos entender

to put through: to connect by telephone (transferir ou passar a ligação)

• Good morning, could you put me through the manager? I need to speak to him | Bom dia, você poderia  passar para o gerente? Preciso falar com ele
• Sorry I cannot answer your question, but I’ll put you through the right department | Desculpe por não saber responder à sua pergunta, mas vou transferir para o departamento certo

to get off: to end a conversation (desligar, sair do telefone)

• I just got off the phone with the real estate agent and she said that we can finally sign the lease | Acabei de sair do telefone com a agente imobiliária e ela disse que finalmente podemos assinar o contrato
• I’m afraid I’ll have to get off the phone now, there is so much I have to do | Vou ter que desligar agora, estou tão ocupado

to call back: to return a call (retornar a licação, ligar de volta)

• Ms. Halpert isn’t here right now. Could she call you back once she gets out of the meeting? | A Srta. Halpert não está aqui agora. Ela pode te ligar de volta assim que sair da reunião?
• I’m going to have to call you back, I’m too busy at the moment | Vou ter que retornar sua ligação depois, estou muito ocupado no momento.

Time to hang up! Hora de desligar!
