The man of the hour in Japan is Keisuke Honda (本田 圭佑). Here’s the reason why :

Makoto Hasebe (長谷部誠) is the vice captain for the Japanese soccer team. He’s a talented midfielder who has played for the German club VfL Wolfsburg .

Takayuki Morimoto (森本 貴幸) is currently the youngest player to debut professionally in the Japanese league. He’s been compared to the Brazilian player Ronaldo Luis Nazário de Lima. He signed with the Italian club Calcio Catania and his contract ends in 2011.

Daisuke Matsui (松井 大輔) is a player who has proved himself, despite being a smaller player. He’s played for the French club Grenoble Foot 38, and has considerable experience as a midfielder.
