If you’re wondering where to find the location with the most people in Japan, than you’ll probably want to go to the top three populated cities in Japan. Going to a populated city has its benefits. In a populated city, you’re more likely to find better transportation options and interesting places to hang out in your leisure time.

The top three cities we will take a closer look at today are Tōkyō, Yokohama and Ōsaka.

Tōkyō () is a city populated with over eight million people and is the central financial hub of Japan. It is also contains one of the most extensive transportation networks in Japan. Many fine and prestigious universities are located in Tōkyō as well.

Yokohama (横浜) isn’t as populated as Japan, but it is substantially populated with over three million people. Yokohama is a major port city with many transshipping businesses. Since Yokohama is a major trading base for businesses, it also houses a significant number of foreigners.

With over two million people Ōsaka (), it is one of the major industrial centers in Japan. Lots of shopping districts and restaurants are located in Ōsaka. As a result, Ōsaka is one of the major tourist cities in Japan.
