Musunde Hiraite Posted by Ginny on Jan 22, 2011 in Uncategorized
There is a cute Japanese children’s song called Musunde Hiraite (むすんでひらいて). Here is a video of the song. Note that the hand motions go along with the song.

むすんで (musunde) Clench the palms together
開いて (hiraite) Open them

I have heard a song that is to the musunde hiraite tune, except it teacher classroom instructions. Do you know the lyrics?

thank you so much for posting this! we have Japanese story time at the local library and I couldn’t learn the songs just from hearing them, reading the lyrics makes it much easier.
