Interrogative Sentences in Korean Posted by Kyung-Hwa on May 24, 2017 in Grammar, Korean Language, Vocabulary
Do you remember this post “Like or Don’t Like in Korean?” We explored one of the simplest ways to form interrogative sentences in Korean. All you had to do was to add a question mark to a declarative sentence and raise the intonation at the end of the sentence. In this post, we will learn about question words such as who, when, where, what, why, and how to form interrogative sentences in Korean.
The following is the list of basic Korean interrogatives and useful expressions: 누구 (who), 언제 (when), 어디 (where), 무엇/뭐 (what), 왜 (why), 어떻게 (how).
In addition to the above interrogatives, there are several more question words in Korean, such as 몇 (how many), 얼마나 (how long), 얼마 (how much). If you would like to ask questions in Korean, these question words will become very useful to communicate with native Koreans.
감사합니다! (Thank you!)
