We all usually have this one trusted person who takes care of our hair! Sometimes it takes a while to find a person like that, but eventually we all end up with one.

But what if you are traveling and you need a quick trim or color? Or what if your child was playing with scissors…and someone needs a quick fix? And your hairstylist is obviously not around?

Here are few phrases that may come in handy in a situation like that while visiting Poland:

I’d like a haircut, please – chciałbym się ostrzyc
do I need to book the appointment? – czy muszę się umówić?
are you able to see me now? – czy może mnie pan/pani przyjąć teraz?
would you like to make an appointment? – czy chciałby pan/chcialaby pani umówić się na wizytę?
would you like me to wash it? – czy mam umyć głowę?
what would you like? – co pan/pani sobie życzy?
how would you like me to cut it? – jak mam pana/panią ostrzyc/obciąć?
I’ll leave it to you – pozostawię to w pana/pani gestii

just a trim, please – proszę tylko przystrzyc
how short would you like it? – jak krótko pan/pani sobie życzy?
not too short – nie za krótko
quite short – dosyć krótko
very short – bardzo krótko

would you like anything on it? – czy mam nałożyć coś na włosy?
some gel – trochę żelu
some hairspray – trochę lakieru do włosów
nothing, thanks – nic, dziękuję
