Do you feel like playing piano at the Warsaw airport? Posted by on Nov 13, 2017 in Culture

A moment of relaxation with music before departure? Now it is possible! Warsaw Chopin Airport in cooperation with Steinway & Sons company offers passengers two pianos of Boston brand. Anyone who wants has an opportunity to play on them. Sounds like such a great idea!

It is a zone promoting classical music, especially that of Fryderyk Chopin. It is a place open and accessible for all passengers and airport visitors, where one can listen to the music at its best, as well as perform for other people.

Chopin’s music is well-known and loved all around the world. It carries emotions and feelings that inspire people of all races and cultures. As Chopin Airport,  there is a special connection with this music and its creator and therefore airport wants to bring it closer to all passengers:) Between live performances waiting for the journey is made more enjoyable thanks to the “invisible pianist” – an automatic machine playing the works of Chopin.

On the occasion of the inauguration of the Chopin Music Spot professional pianists as well as talented students of music schools in Warsaw played classical and jazz music for passengers. A special concert was played by a friend of Chopin Airport, Włodek Pawlik. This only Polish jazz musician holding the prestigious Grammy award played Lullaby (Berceuse) by Chopin and his own song dedicated to Chopin “Good evening Monsieur Chopin”.

Take a look at these passengers playing the piano there:
