Just like the news was shocking (wstrząsające) and touching (wzruszające) for apple lovers in United States, it touched people in Poland as well.

The world is today mourning the death of Apple founder Steve Jobs after he died following a lengthy battle with pancreatic cancer.
Global leaders (światowi liderzy) from politics and business rushed to pay tribute (hołd) to the visionary genius behind the iPhone, iPad and the iPod who died yesterday aged 56.
At Apple stores across the world and the company’s headquarters, makeshift shrines quickly sprang up as Apple’s legions of fans gathered together to remember the life of a man they revered as a hero.
Apple has been really popular (popularny) in Poland as well. More and more people discover how great and easy in use mackbooks, ipods and ipads are. And even though buying it in Poland is definitely more expensive then in USA, people still decide to purchase Apple products.
He was neither head of state nor Hollywood star. But the death of Steve Jobs, the visionary genius who reshaped the world, was marked with the love and respect reserved for the most illustrious of cultural icons.
His work had a huge impact on our lives and he inspired thousands of young minds. May he rest in peace…

An interesting about Steve Jobs is that since 1997 his annual salary was of only $1.
Yes you’re reading it right – only one dollar. Still because he owned 5.5 million Apple shares valued at about $377 which made him 110th richest person in the world according to Forbes.
