Olá pessoal! Brazilian food has several common side dishes and garnishes. Beans, farofa, and even batata palha are staples of Brazilian lunches and dinners. Another common garnish is vinagrete…my personal favorite. You will need tomates (tomatoes), cebolas (onions), cheiro verde (parsley), and pimenta verdes (green peppers) to start.
Corte os ingredientes em cubos (cut the ingredients into cubes). The cubes should be pretty small. Then put it all into a bowl with agua (water), sal (salt), limão (lemon) and azeite (olive oil).
Some people fry everything (fritar em português) before putting it into a bowl. Another touch you can add is putting in a small amount of vinagre (vinegar) into the bowl too.
Usually vinagrete is served with churrasco or peixe (fish). I personally like it with picanha and arroz com brócolis.
