On March 11 Mexican TV network Televisa aired the special América Celebra a Chespirito, which pays hommage to Mexican legendary comedian Roberto Gómez Bolaños (Chespirito). Bolaños gave life to characters like El Chavo del Ocho, Chapulín Colorado, among others.
Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Mexico, Panama, Peru and Uruguay were the countries that paid hommage to the famous Mexican comedian. The 2-hour TV special had the participation of Mexican singer and actress Thalía, who sang the song Gracias Chespirito, written by Gian Marco.
El Chavo del Ocho and El Chapulín Colorado are still broadcast all over Latin America and they have a loyal herd of fans all over the world too. Check out below Thalía singing Gracias Chespirito.
