Sometimes a friend needs some cheering up and this is what this post is about, cheering people up and complimenting them.

Here are some useful sentences you might want to use!

No te preocupes por eso. – Don’t worry about it.
¿Por qué no te desahogas? – Why don’t you get if off your chest?
Todos se sienten así a veces. – Everybody feels that way sometimes.
No hay motivo para que te sientas así. – There’s no reason to feel like that.
Trata de hacerlo y verás que lo consigues. – Try to do it and you’ll see you can.
No tienes que desesperarte. Las cosas van a mejorar. – Don’t despair. Things will get better.
¡Arriba ese ánimo! No tienes por qué sentirte así. – Cheer up! There’s no reason to feel like that.

Now let’s learn some sentences to compliment people.

¡Muy bien! – Very well!
¡Buen trabajo! – Good work!
¡Sigue así! – Keep up the good work!
¡Te felicito! – Congratulations!
¡Es así como se debe hacer! – That’s the way to go!
¡Te has desempeñado muy bien! – You’ve done great!
¡Tu español es muy bueno! – Your Spanish is very good!
¡Hablas español muy bien! – You speak Spanish very well!
¡Qué bien se te ve! – You look great!
Ese vestido te sienta muy bien. – This dress looks great on you.
Qué lindo tienes el cabello. ¿Qué te has hecho? – Your hair looks great. What have you done with it?
¡Qué bonita que estás! / ¡Lo bonita que estás! – You look gorgeous!
¡Qué linda casa! – What a beautiful house!
¡Qué lindo departamento! – What a beautiful apartment!
