Latin pop idol: Jesús Navarro Posted by on Oct 22, 2012 in Spanish Culture, Videos

A lot of new singers and groups pop up every month in the music industry and in Latin America this is not different. Mexican group Reik was formed in 2003 and has Jesús Navarro as their lead singer, Julio Ramírez Eguía (guitar) y Gilberto “Bibi” Marin (electric guitar). By the way, we had a Reik song here at the beginning of the month, check it out.

Now, instead of writing a wordy text about Reik and Jesús Navarro, here’s a “true hollywood story” abour Jesús and Reik. You also have a little glossary with difficult words and expressions so you will be able to understand the video better, ok?

ahorita – right now, at the moment
rola – song (Mex. Spanish)
chavo – guy
hacer promoción – to promote one’s album, etc
bichos – bugs
y todo el rollo – and stuff
…y te pone la piel chinita – …and you get goosebumps
perdel el piso – to lose track of reality
