Spanish singer: Pablo Alborán Posted by on Dec 7, 2012 in Spanish Culture

Hello, there!

I was in the United States last month and I stayed at a Spanish friend’s house. David introduced me to Pablo Alborán, a 24-year-old new Spanish talent. Alborán plays several musical instruments like the piano, classical guitar, flamenco guitar, and acoustic guitar and was “found” by ex-Destiny’s Child Kelly Rowland, who was “in love with him”.

Here’s his song Tanto (So Much), which is in the top 10 in Spain this week.

Tanto

Enséñame a rozarte lento, [Teach me to touch you slowly]
Quiero aprender a quererte, de nuevo, [I want to learn to want you again]
Susurrarte al oído, que puedo. [Whisper in your ear that I can]

Si quieres te dejo un minuto, [If you want, I can leave your for a moment]
Pensarte mis besos, mi cuerpo, y mi fuego, [To think about my kisses, my body]
Que yo espero si tardas, porque creo que te debo, mucho. [I will wait if you are late, because I think I owe you, a lot]

Ahora, que me he quedado solo, [Now that I’m alone]
Veo que te debo tanto y lo siento tanto, [I see that I owe you so much and I am so sorry]
Ahora, no aguantaré sin ti, no hay forma de seguir, [Now I won’t do it without you, there’s no way to go on]
Así… [Like this]

Vamos a jugar a escondernos, [Let’s play and hide ourselves]
Besarnos si de pronto nos vemos, [Kiss if we run into each other]
Desnúdame, y ya luego veremos, [Take off my clothes and we will soon see]
Vamos a robarle el tiempo al tiempo. [Let’s steal time from time]

Por mucho que aprieto tus manos, [However hard I shake your hands]
Me cuesta creer que aún no te hayas marchado, [I find it difficult to believe that you haven’t left yet]
Me fundiré en tus labios, [I will melt into your lips]
Como se funden mis dedos en el piano. [As my fingers melt in the piano]

Tú, que me enseñaste a ser sincero, [You were the one who taught me to be sincere]
Sin temor a lo que pienso, evitando la mentira, [Not fearing what I think, avoiding the lie]
Tú, que siempre has estado presente [You were always there]
Y cuando no estaba la gente que tanto me prometía. [And when the people who promised so much wasn’t there either]

Ahora, que me he quedado solo…
