Good day everybody!
Today´s post is intended to be a quick review and practical excercise on some typical expressions you will need when going into a bar, a restaurant or a hotel. I´m giving you the Spanish one, and the idea is that you try to translate them into English, and provide some answer to them (in the case an answer is needed). This will only work if you help me. I will give you the answers after you have written yours as a comment, ok?
In a bar or restaurant:
- ¿Me puede dejar el menú/ la carta?
- ¿Me puede traer…?
- Me gustaría tomar otro.
- ¿Nos llena, por favor?
- ¿Me puede traer la cuenta?
- No gracias, no quiero nada más.
- ¿Cuanto cuesta la coca-cola?
- ¿Dónde están los baños?
- ¿Tienen bocadillos de tortilla española?
- Camarero, ¡se ha olvidado mi tapa!
In a hotel:
- ¿Me puede dejar la llave de la habitación por favor?
- ¿En qué piso está mi habitación?
- Me gustaría que nos despertase a las…
- Perdone, ¿a que hora es el desayuno?
- Perdone la calefacción de mi cuarto no funciona.
- ¿El mando de la tele está en la habitación?
- Perdone, ¿estamos lejos del centro?
- Perdone, ¿como puedo llegar a la calle…?
- ¿Qué lugares debería visitar de la ciudad?
- ¿Qué lugar me sugiere para almorzar?
