Verb Tenses? Practice Them With An Authentic Video Now! Posted by on Jul 5, 2013 in Spanish Grammar

Hello, there!

One of the best ways of practicing language you have learned is to interact with native speakers, but if you don’t have any Spanish-speaking person near you, you can watch original videos and see how language is actually used.

I’m teaching an intermediate Spanish class and we were reviewing the Imperfecto tense. I was looking for authentic materials and I came across this video taken from Thalía’s Habítame Siempre special, where she talks about her childhood and uses many past tense verbs.

Watch the video below and try to catch the verb tense these verbs are used, like in the example with moverse:

moverse = se mueve

necesitar – recordar – ir – llevar – andar – conocer – morir – tener – descansar – comenzar – poder

If you’re reading this post in your e-mail, click here to watch the video.

Here are some places Thalía mentions in the video:

Casa de los Perros
Colonia Santa Maria la Ribera
Kiosco Morisco
Liceo Franco Mexicano
El Zócalo
