Few reasons why I love Autumn in Poland Posted by on Sep 6, 2016 in Nature

Why do I love Autumn in Poland? There are many reasons! And if you live in Poland or ever visited Poland during beautiful  “złota jesień” (golden fall), you will agree with me!

First of all – beautiful golden colors (no wonder it is called złota jesień)!  Different shades of gold, brown, yellow, green and red are everywhere!

Why is Polish golden autumn so beautiful?

I absolutely love long walks in the parks , listening to birds…Warm, sunny days with a little chilly air are perfect for a picnic!

I also love mushroom picking during fall! I remember doing this with my parents as a little kid. I always loved mushrooms! Mushroom sauce, mushroom soup, pierogi with mushrooms, sautéed mushrooms!

I love mushrooms!

Another reason to love Polish Autumn is hiking during this of the year! Absolutely stunning! There are 23 national parks in Poland with many hills, mountains, wild animals and green areas, lakes and rivers.  The South and Southeast of Poland are covered with the Sudeten (Sudety) and Carpathian (Karpaty) mountain ranges and many picturesqe hills. In autumn the tourist season is over, so you will not be seeing many people on the trails and the views are amazing. The peaks look gorgeous!

And one more thing I love about Polish autumn…rainy days! Even though it’s raining, you can still enjoy the day sitting by the fire, under a blanket and drinking your favorite cup of Polish tea or coffee!

What to do on those chilly fall mornings…?
