It’s very hot! !إنه حار جداً 🌞

In this post, we’re going to talk about summer الصَّيف and everything that gets mentioned when we talk about summer time وقت الصَّيف such as weather الطَّقْس, activities نشاطات, and types of food and drink أكلات ومشروبات. We’ll also watch a weather forecast نشرة جوية in Arabic and answer some questions. 

Can you name three months ثلاثة أشهر in Arabic where most places experience

الصَّيف?

حُزيران، تَموز، آب

Can you think of some activities نشاطات people like to do during فصل الصَّيف ?

السِّباحة، الذِّهاب إلى البَحر، السَّفر

What do you like to eat تأكُل or drink تَشرَب during فصل الصَّيف? 

I’m sure you thought of ice cream البوظة and watermelon البَطيخ. A favorite summer drink in Arab countries is عصير الليمون والنعناع which is a very refreshing lemon and mint drink. 

Here are some more vocabulary words you’ll hear during the summer:

I’m sure you have your مُكَيّف air conditioner on or your مَرْوَحة fan and prefer wearing المَلابس الخفيفة light clothing.

No one likes حَشَرَات insects like البَعوض mosquitoes.

During العُطلة الصيفية the summer holiday, we like to enjoy الطبيعة الجميلة beautiful nature and spend time at الشاطِئ the beach.
