Go Bananas for this Recipe! Posted by jesa on Aug 16, 2015 in Arabic Language
Marhaba! Do you love bananas? I certainly do! Today, I am sharing an easy and fun recipe for Banana Bread! This is quite popular in many places around the Arab world. For instance, in Lebanon, many coffee shops and restaurants sell banana bread with different flavors. Some add chocolate or vanilla to the mix. Others add walnuts, pine nuts, or pecans. The recipe that my wife and I use usually takes about 15 minutes to prepare. We add pecans to the recipe. This is totally up to you and your taste buds! As always, I have translated the recipe to Arabic! I am sure this helps with your learning! Make sure you try this easy recipe and share your results.

Salam everyone! Born as an American to two originally Arab parents, I have been raised and have spent most of my life in Beirut, Lebanon. I have lived my good times and my bad times in Beirut. I was but a young child when I had to learn to share my toys and food with others as we hid from bombs and fighting during the Lebanese Civil War. I feel my connection to Arabic as both a language and culture is severing and so it is with you, my readers and fellow Arabic lovers, and through you that I wish to reestablish this connection by creating one for you.
