In this post, I present the answers of the listening comprehension exercise presented yesterday, as well as the transcription of the text. There are some useful words given at the end of the post that can assist your comprehension.

Transcription:

للمرة الأولى منذ أسبوعين. أعلنت وكالة الأمم المتحدة لغوث وتشغيل اللاجئين الفلسطينيين الاونروا، أنها أدخلت الثلاثاء مساعدات إلى مخيم اليرموك في دمشق المحاصر منذ أشهر.

كما وزعت عبر الهلال الاحمر الفلسطيني، 2000 وحدة من لقاح شلل الاطفال، و800 علبة صغيرة من حليب الاطفال.

1-    What did the UNRWA announce?

UNRWA announced that they have been able to bring aid to the camp for the first time in two weeks.

2-    What does the word UNRWA stand for in Arabic?

UNRWA means (وكالة الأمم المتحدة لغوث وتشغيل اللاجئين الفلسطينيين), i.e. the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East

3-    How long has the Yarmouk Refugee camp been besieged?

The Yarmouk Refugee camp has been besieged for months.

4-    Who assisted the UNRWA in the distribution?

The Palestinian Red Crescent assisted the UNRWA with the distribution.

5-    What was distributed to the people of the camp?

2000 doses of polio vaccination for children and 800 small packets of formula milk.
