اِســمُ الــمــَــرَضِ الــذي تــَــتــَــحــَــدَّثُ عــَــنــْــهُ الــقــِــطــْــعــَــة هــو الــفــقــر .     

1) The disease the passage talks about is poverty.

يــُــعــْــتــَــبــَــرُ هــذا الــمــَــرَضُ خــَــطــِــيــراً لأنــه يــُــؤثــِّــرُ عــلــى كــُــلّ إنــســان تــقــريــبــاً ، كــمــا أنَّ لــهُ أشــكــال و ألــوان مــخــتــلــفــة . 

2) This disease is dangerous because it affects nearly all people and it has different shapes and colors.

3) The effects of this disease on man are clear as it prevents man from work and brings despair and causes man to lose hope.

أوَّلُ أنــْــواعِ هــَــذا الــمــَــرَض هــو الــخــوفُ مــنَ الــفــقــر .  

4) The first type of this disease is the fear of poverty.

يــُــعــْــتــَــبــَــرُ هــذا الــنــَّــوْعُ الأوَّل (الــفــقــر) مــِــنْ أخــْــطــَــرِ الأنــْــوَاعِ لأنــَّـــهُ يــُــشــِــلُّ قــُــوّةَ الــتــَّــفــْــكــِــيــرِ ، و يــَــقــْــتــُــلَ الــثــِّــقــَــةَ بــالــنــَّــفــْـــسِ ، و يــُــوَلــِّــدُ الــشــَّــكَّ ، و يــُــفــْــقــِــدُ الأمــَــلَ و الــطــُّــمــُــوح .

5) This first type (poverty) one of the most dangerous types because it paralyzes the power of thinking, kills the self-confidence, generates doubt and makes one lose hope and ambition.

أســْــبــَــاب زيــَــادة الــفــَــقــْــر فــى عــَــصــْــرنــَــا الــحــالــِــى هــى الــتــَــنــَــافــُــسِ الــمــَــالــِــىّ الــشــَــديــدِ ، و الــتــَّــقــَــاتــُـــلِ عــَــلــَــيــْــهِ مــِــمــَّــا لــَــمْ يــُــعــْــرَفْ لــَــهُ مــِــنْ قــَــبــْــلُ مــَــثــِــيــلْ .  

6) The reasons for increasing poverty in our modern time is the severe financial competition and fighting over it; a thing which did not have any equivalent in the past.

مــِــنْ إمــْــتــِــيــَــازات رَجــُــلْ الــمــَــال أنــهُ هــُــو الــذّى يــُــســَــيــْــطــِــرُ ، و هــُــو الــذى يــُــنــْــتــَــخــَـــبْ ، فــَــيــُــشــَــارِكُ فــى الــســِّـــيــَــاســَــةِ ، و هــُــو الــذى تــَــخــْــضــَــعُ لــَــهُ الــرِّقــَــابُ .  

7) The privileges of the man of wealth are the he is the one who controls, he is the one who is elected and participates in politics and he is the one that to him, other necks bow down.

“فــَــالــفــَــقــِــيــرُ لــَــيــْــسَ لــَــهُ قــِــيــمــَــةٌ ســِــيــَــاســِــيــَّــةٌ و لا إجــْــتــِــمــَــاعــِــيــَّــةٌ و لا قــَــانــُــونــِــيــَّــةٌ ، بــَــيــْــنــَــمــَــا مــَــالــِــكُ الــمــَــالِ – مــَــهــْــمــَــا كــَــانــَــت الــوَســَــائــِــلُ الــتــى اِتــَّــخــَــذَهــَــا فــى جــَــمــْــعــِــهِ – هــُــو الــذّى يــُــســَــيــْــطــِــرُ ، و هــُــو الــذى يــُــنــْــتــَــخــَـــبْ ، فــَــيــُــشــَــارِكُ فــى الــســِّـــيــَــاســَــةِ ، و هــُــو الــذى تــَــخــْــضــَــعُ لــَــهُ الــرِّقــَــابُ”
