In this post, I present the answers of the reading comprehension exercise that deals with the Ebola outbreak presented earlier.

السيطرة على وباء إيبولا “سيستغرق 6 أشهر” أطباء بلا حدود إن تفشي وباء إيبولا في غرب أفريقيا سوف يستغرق ستة أشهر من العمل للسيطرة عليه.

ودعت مديرة منظمة أطباء بلا حدود، جوان ليو، في جنيف إلى ضرورة تعزيز الجهود الدولية التي تقودها منظمة الصحة العالمية.

وتابعت ليو قائلة “فيما يخص الوقت، نحن لا نتحدث عن أسابيع وإنما نتحدث عن أشهر. نحتاج إلى التزام لمدة أشهر أي ستة أشهر على الأقل.”

واستدركت قائلة “وهذا تقدير مغرق في التفاؤل إذا صح القول”.

وقالت مدير أطباء بلا حدود “جميع الحكومات يجب أن تبادر إلى التصرف. يجب التصرف الآن إن كنا نريد احتواء الوباء”.

وكانت منظمة الصحة العالمية قالت في وقت سابق إن حجم وباء إيبولا “استخف به على نحو كبير”.

وأضافت المنظمة الدولية أن ثمة حاجة إلى “اتخاذ إجراءات استثنائية”.

وقالت المنظمة إن موظفيها والعاملين فيها شاهدوا ما يكفي من الادلة ليتأكدوا بأن عدد حالات الاصابة المبلغ عنها وعدد الوفيات لا تعكس حجم الازمة الحقيقي.

وقالت المنظمة في بيان إنه “ينبغي اعتماد اجراءات استثنائية” لمحاربة تفشي المرض وانتشاره.

وكان الانتشار الحالي لمرض ايبولا قد بدأ في غينيا في فبراير / شباط الماضي، وقد انتشر منذ ذلك الحين الى كل من ليبريا وسييرا ليون ونيجيريا
