Last week, I were caught in the rain (被雨淋 bèi yǔ lín). The weather forecast for that day was a mild and bright day with chance of light rain. I went out without an umbrella ( sǎn). Couple of hours later, blue clear sky suddenly darkened and big rain drops started dropping without any warning (毫无预兆 háo wú yù zhào). I got all wet (全身湿 quán shēn shī) before I found cover. The rain got heavier, and I regret leaving the house without an umbrella. I canceled my plans and went back home to change my soaked (湿透 shī tòu) clothes.

Last week I didn’t bring an umbrella with me. On my way, without any warning it started raining. I stood in the rain shivering. I was unprepared, and got wet by the unexpected rain as a drowned rat. The rain got heavier, and I got all wet. I returned home to change my soaked clothes.

It was enough for me to get a severe cold (患了重感冒 huàn le zhòng gǎn mào). The symptoms appeared fast:

I stayed in bed for several days, drank a lot of tea, ate many fruits, and felt much better after a week.
