That being said, the campaign trail has also inspired people’s creativity. After the first debate, Sten wrote about the Votewiser on this blog . The second presidential debate inspired a different kind of Dutch humor. Take a look at the video.

The video quickly became a sensation in the Netherlands as well as in the U.S.
This hilarious video of Trump and Clinton singing “Time of my Life” is actually a Dutch creation. LuckyTV, creators of funny videos mocking Dutch politicians, earned worldwide fame thanks to the second presidential debate in the U.S.

The following video is of a very funny interview Sander van de Pavert had with the Dutch TV show De Wereld Draait Door, for which LuckyTV makes its videos for. He talks about the hype surrounding the video as well as his creative process. Sander mentions that he watches TV without sound so that he can think of songs to play or how to mix the video without interference.

There are plenty of funny videos from LuckyTV, which you can see on their website. Their most popular victim, at least before Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump had been King Willem-Alexander or as the show calls him “Willy.”

Which one is your favorite LuckyTV video?
