The summer is at its peak and some of you are probably on holiday. For those of you who want to practice Greek, in this post there is a listening comprehension exercise suitable for Intermediate students. Watch the video about the Toy Museum and do the exercise that follows: you have to tell whether the statements are true (σωστό) or false (λάθος). Read the phrases first and then listen to the video twice (or as many times as you like, if you find it hard) and do the exercise.

Enjoy!

  1. Nicholas Soter:

I very much enjoy your blog and posts; I just finished the toy museum one and got them all correct. Some time ago I wrote to you about an answer you provided that I believe was incorrect, but I never heard back.

It was the one about adverbs of quantity:

In the recent one about Adverbs of Quantity, I think the answer to Number 8 is incorrect.

    a. I’m a bit tired. b. I’m so tired.

I think the answer should be “a. I’m a bit tired”; the answer given is “b. I’m so tired.”

I am so tired would be: Είμαι τόσο κουρασμένη.

Otherwise I got them all right.

    What say you?

    Nicholas Soter

    • Ourania:

      @Nicholas Soter Hi Nicholas,
Thank you for your comment. I am glad you enjoyed the listening comprehension exercise and the quiz.
About the adverbs of quantity, you are right, the correct answer is a and I have already edited the post. I’m sorry I haven’t answered your comment but I didn’t get it. Maybe it was deleted by mistake.
      Thanks again.
