Personal Letter in Hindi Posted by on Apr 20, 2012 in Hindi Language

In this fast pace life, many of you are using the electronic mail (email) service to communicate with your friends. However some years ago, when normal post was the only way to communicate, an email was much awaited. Now again, many of us are realizing the thrill of writing a letter in good old way, writing with pen and paper and sending it to our friends. As many of our Hindi learners might have Indian pen-pals, many of you might have thought of writing a personal letter in Hindi in that way. Let me show you the format and a sample personal letter in Hindi.

A personal letter usually start with the sender address. In Hindi letter, it is usually positioned on the upper left corner.

B – 26 महारानी बाग (House number and street/ locality name)
(name of the state)
24.04.2012 (date)

After the address field, the sender usually greet the receiver like this,

(Dear friend Rakesh)
(Greeting)

Now, the sender writes the main message.

After the main message we close the letter with the following in the lower left corner,

(Your friend,)
(Name)

Now, you can combine all the part and you have your personal letter. The above mentioned part combine to produce the sample personal letter and look like this,
