Poem in Hindi – Bachpan Posted by on Feb 24, 2014 in Hindi Language

Today, I found a very nice poem on the childhood (बचपन – Childhood) and thought to share the same with you. The poet is describing how we all have memories of our childhood, the special phase of our life that we cherish from this moment to another. When we are torn apart in the worldly tensions, conflicts and crimes then how then we remember our childhood and find a reflection of ourselves dreaming of our future.

Below is the poem in Devanagari fonts (Hindi) with the literal translation in English. I hope that you will try to comprehend the poem with the given explanation. So, here it is.

कविता (Kavita – Poem) : बचपन (Bachpan – Childhood)
(Krishna Kumar Yadav)

I’m afraid
of losing my childhood
Have kept it saved
in the depths of my heart

Whenever the system
fills anger in me
whenever the truth
seems bitter to me
whenever I could not recover
from my conflicts
whenever sadness surrounds me
then I return back
towards my childhood

And I find an innocent
and a sincere like face
beyond all sadness and pain
weaving dreams in his own passion.

Good writing indeed. Actually I also posted my poems on my blog (www.knkayastha.in) in the same style but there were very low readership for translated version. So stopped and removed.
