Podcast #28 – Passive Voice (Two Objects) Posted by on Dec 17, 2009 in Avançado

Download audio

Mary wrote the letter. – The letter was written by Mary.

Peter teaches math to Jane.
Math is taught to Jane by Peter.
Jane is taught math by Peter.

The teacher told a story to us.
A story was told to us by the teacher.
We were told a story by the teacher.

Sue will send a card to Jack.
A card will be sent to Jack by Sue.
Jack will be sent a card by Sue.

They explained the theory to us.
The theory was explained to us by them.
We were explained the theory by them.

Somebody robbed my house yesterday. – My house was robbed yesterday.

They will build a new school here. – A new school will be built here.

People should preserve nature. – Nature should be preserved.

Somebody is stealing pens at the store. – Pens are being stolen at the store.

This is it for today. See you next time!
