O verbo to put (pôr, colocar) tem vários phrasal verbos bem comuns usados nas conversas diárias.

1. put aside – guardar, economizar, reservar

I’m putting some money aside for my trip next year. – Estou guardando dinheiro para minha viagem ano que vem.
You should put aside some time to be with your kids. – Você deveria reservar um tempinho para estar com seus filhos.

2. put away – guardar, colocar no lugar

Timmy, I’ve told you a thousand times to put your toys away. – Timmy, já te disse mil vezes para guardar seus brinquedos.
I was putting away the grocery when he called. – Eu estava guardando as compras quando ele ligou.

3. put off – adiar, procrastinar, deixar algo para depois
