Day 1 : ついたち (tsuitachi)

Day 2 : ふつか (futsuka)

Day 3 : みっか (mikka)

Day 4 : よっか (yokka)

Day 5 : いつか (itsuka)

Day 6 : むいか (muika)

Day 7 : なのか (nanoka)

Day 8 : ようか (yooka)

Day 9 : ここのか (kokonoka)

Day 10 : とおか (tooka)

Couple of points: Days 1-10 are different from 11-13 in terms of the ending. Days 11-13 end in “nichi.” Day 14 breaks this cycle and day 15 ends in nichi.

Do you have any mnemonics (ways of remembering) the days of the month. Usually I have ways of remembering, like ‘you eat off a TABLE for たべます, but I can’t find any way to remember the days of the month. If you could help that would be awesome xx

Well, you have to memorize the native japanese numbers first, then it’s a piece of cake. However, if I know correctly the 1st day of the month comes from the combination of 2 words: 月-つき(moon) and 立つ-たつ(stand, rise), because the moon stands on it’s highest place this day.
