In some parts of the world, snow will be on its way. Here’s a nice little kid’s ditty on snow!

雪やこんこ (yuki ya konko) Snow falls heavily

霰やこん (arare ya konko) Hail falls heavily

降っては降って (futtewa futtewa) It’s falling and falling

ずんずん積 (zunzun tsumoru) Collecting more and more

山も野(yama mo nohara mo) The mountains and the fields are also

綿帽子かぶ (wataboshi kaburi) wearing their cotton hats

枯木残らず花が咲 (kareki nokurazu hana ga saku) in every tree flowers bloom

雪やこんこ (yuki ya konko) Snow falls heavily

霰やこん (arare ya konko) Hail falls heavily

降っても降って (futtemo futtemo) It’s falling and falling

まだ降りやま (mada furiyamanu) still never stopping

犬は喜 (inu wa yorokobi) the dog is happy

庭駈けまわ(niwa kakemawari) running around the garden

猫は火燵で 丸くな (neko wa kotatsu de marukunaru) the cat is curled up under the kotatsu
