에/ae and 에서/aeseo are most difficult Korean particle to classify for students. Students in the advanced level even get often confused, so do not be frustrated to learn this. 에 means usually “To”; I am going to Seoul/저는 서울에 가요/jeo nun seoul ae gay o. 에서 mean usually “at, in”, also one needs to do something (action) with에서; I am working at Seoul/저는 서울에서 일해요/jeo nun seoul ae seo il hae yo. Solve the question below to practice.
- I am watching movie at the theater. 저는 극장__ 영화를 봐요/ ejo nun kuk jang __yeog hwa lul ba yo.
- I am going to New York. 저는 뉴욕__ 가요/ jeo nun new yo __ga yo.
- She is going to meet her friends at the restaurant. 그녀는 식당__친구를 만날 거예요/gu nyeo nun sick dang ___ chin gu lul man nal geo ye yo.
- He ate kim chi at his friend house/ 그는 친구 집__ 김치를 먹었어요/gu nun chin gu jib__ kim chi lul meo geo sseo yo.
