Verbs like petere (to seek, to attack) are an example of third conjugation verbs that have the vī suffix in the perfect tense.

In the present active indicative:

petō

petis

petit

petimus

petitis

petunt

In the present passive indicative:

petor

peteris

petitur

petimur

petiminī

petuntur
