E hoje é sexta-feira! Coisa boa, né?

Today we are going to take a look at time adverbs in Portuguese. Don’t worry, I didn’t include those rare ones, only the most common in everyday conversation, ok?

Estão prontos? Vamos lá!

hoje – today
ontem – yesterday
amanhã – tomorrow

de manhã – in the morning
de tarde, à tarde – in the afternoon
de noite, à noite – in the evening, at night

hoje de manhã – this morning
hoje de/à tarde – this afternoon
hoje de/à noite – this evening, tonight
next week – na próxima semana, semana que vem

cedo – early
tarde – late
agora – now
agora mesmo – right now
já – already, yet, ever
já não – not anymore
já já – very soon (informal)

logo – soon
sempre – always
nunca – never
ainda – still, yet
antes – before
antigamente – formerly, in the past
primeiro – first
depois – after, then
enfim – anyway

recentemente – recently
ultimamente – lately
ago – atrás
de agora em diante – from now on
no final – eventually
anteriormente – previously
