My Trip to the 2018 World Cup in Russia Posted by sasha on Jul 23, 2018 in Uncategorized
The 2018 World Cup in Russia came to an end last week, with France defeating Croatia in the final to win the tournament for the 2nd time. In total, 64 matches were played in Russia and 169 goals were scored. It was an excellent World Cup and Russia did a wonderful job as the host nation. I was lucky enough to travel to Russia for my first time ever to see a few of the games. You can read all about my experience in case you missed that post. Today I’d like to share a short video I put together on my trip to the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
See some highlights of my trip to Moscow and St. Petersburg for the 2018 World Cup in this short video:
Thanks to Russia for hosting such a great event, all the kind people I met along the way, and to you guys for taking the time to read and watch my recap!

Thank you so much for the video. After spending 6 months of a sabbatical in Russia about 15 years ago it reminded me of what a wonderful country Russia is and how wonderful the Russian people were to me and my wife when we were there.
I always enjoy your postings re. Russia and the Russian language.
