TV show: Q’Viva Posted by on Apr 2, 2012 in Uncategorized

I gotta tell you guys: Jennifer Lopez came to Brazil during Carnival last month and she surely is one of the hottest stars in the world. Besides being invited to watch the samba schools at one of the coolest camarotes (VIP lounges) on the Sapucaí (the avenue where the samba schools parade), JLo participated in a program called O Melhor do Brasil, hosted by Rodrigo Faro.

This participation was to choose a Brazilian representative for her new show Q’Viva, with her ex-husband Marc Anthony and show writer and director Jamie King. I had heard about Q’Viva on American Idol but had forgotten about it until I saw one of her interviews on Faro’s show on Saturday and I decided to look for the show online. To my (good) surprise they have all the episodes on Youtube.

Before we go on to watch JLo speak Spanish and bicker with Marc Anthony about a very beautiful pair of Puerto Rican twin dancers let me tell you what Q’Viva is all about. Simon Fuller, the creator of American idol, decided to produce a Vegas show with talent from Latin America: street dancers, singers, guitar players, what have you. So JLo, Marc Anthony and Jamie King traveled all over South and Central America, helped my people in the entertainment industry, to check out if those indications were really good.

I’d heard JLo speak Spanish in the past but apparently her Spanish has improved! Now let’s watch the first part of the Q’Viva TV show, en español. Tengan todos una muy buena semana.
