Take a pill Posted by on Nov 16, 2010 in Grammar

I am inspired by my headache today. And some people say that there are only bad things happen to me. (joke)

You guys are used to that I post quite many grammar posts but there should be variety in that as well and it is not an easy job to do so everyday. So, here is a vocabulary of a different kind. Cecilia Bruce is a Swedish troubadour and this song was her breakthrough in 1962 in the Swedish TV-program Hylands Hörna. Even back then she had a different point of view of our modern life. Sorry but I haven´t found a better video out there! Find the lyrics under the video.

Har du vitaminbrist, så ta en tablett, ta en tablett, ta en tablett (If you have vitamine deficiency so take a tablet, take a tablet, take a tablet)

Mot huvudvärk och kärlekssorg ta en tablett och sen går hela livet lätt (Against headache, love trouble take a pill and your whole life will be easier)

Ref: Ta ta ta !…(ta tablett och ta tablett) Take, take, take! (take tablet and take tablet take!)

Vill du banta ner dig så ta en tablett (If you want to slim yourself down so take a tablet)

Lägg av din korsett och ta en tablett (Take off your corset and take a tablet)

Och kan du inte somna så ta en tablett och sen så somnar du komplett (and if  you can´t sleep so take a tablet, then you will fall asleep completely)

Ref (x2)

Tänk å kunna lösa problemen så lätt, när något går snett (Think that solving problems is so easy, when something goes wrong)

Och skulle du till sist på detta liv bli mätt…(And if you would be tired of this life in the end)

säg farväl med en tablett! (So say goodbye with a tablet!)
