It’s that time of the year again when you look back at what happened in 2012, take stock and also plan on doing some things in 2013 (we all do that, right?).
Many of you might be thinking of New Year’s resolutions. But even if you do not ‘believe’ in them for whatever reason(s), others are sure to ask you about yours. Or tell you about theirs.
Before we continue, there are two phrases worth knowing.
The first is น้อยลง (noi4 long2), which literally translates as ‘small go down’. It means ‘to reduce,’ ‘become less,’ or ‘get smaller.’ The second is มากขึ้น (maak3 keun3) which literally translates as ‘more go up.’ It means ‘to increase,’ ‘add on to,’ or ‘have more of.’ Both will be found only after a verb or action.
