Birth of a Prophet (571 – 632) مــِــيـــلادُ نــَــبـــِــىّ
Today in the Islamic Calendar is the 12th of رَبـــِـــيــــعُ الأوَّل Rabi’ Al-Aw’wal 1433 A.H. (After Hijra) which is the birthday of prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon Him). The day was a Monday and the Islamic Calendar depends on the moon cycle unlike the Gregorian Calendar. In some Muslim countries, the day is a national holiday and in others, it is not. The birthday of Prophet Muhammad is a turning point نــُــقــطـــة تــَــحــَــوُّل in the human and Arab history. Muhammad is widely considered the most influential figure in history. More than one billion people all over the world follow Muhammad’s teachings and consider him as their guide مــُــرْشــِــد , mentor and leader. Whenever his name is mentioned, Muslims often show their respect saying “P.B.U.P.” (Peace and Prayers Be Upon Him عــَــلــَــيــْــهِ الــصــَّـــلاةُ وَ الــســَّــــلام) Muhammad managed to build a nation and a civilization out of nothing and according to the Islamic faith, he is the last messenger and prophet from God.
The full name of the prophet is Muhammad Ibn Abdillah Ibn Abdil-Muttalib Ibn Hashim from Bani Hashim; one of Quraysh’s prestigous tribes. Muhammad’s ancestry dates back to Ishmael إســْــمــَــاعــِــيــل son of Abraham إبــْــرَاهــِــيــم . His grandfather Abdil-Muttalib عــَــبــْــد الـمـُــطــَّــلــِــب was head of his tribe. Muhammad was an orphan يــَــتــِــيـــم as his father died before he was born and his mother died when he was six years old. Abdil-Muttalib took good care of Muhammad until he was two years old, then his uncle Abo-Talib أبــُــو طــَــالــِــب took him as son and protected him. Muhammad grew up in Makkah مـَــكــَّــة and worked as a shepherd رَاعــِــى and then as a merchant تــَـاجــِـــر . Muhammad was very different from all his peers in Makkah. He was well known as the Truth-teller and Loyal الـصــَّـــادِق الأمــِــيــن . He never drank wine or alcohol.
At the age of twenty-five, Muhammad married Khadeejah خــَــدِيــجــَــة who was older than him. Muhammad used to go out of the city and spend a lot of time in the desert الـصــَّــحــَــــرَاء thinking and meditating. When he was forty and during his meditations in a cave in the desert, he was visited by the angel Gabriel جــِـبــْــريــِــل for the first time. It was the first revelation وَحــْــى to him. Muhammad was ordered to pass the message of Allah to all people. His mission was to restore the worship of the One True God إلـــهٌ وَاحــِــد , the Creator and Sustainer of the whole universe and to teach people the laws of moral, ethical, legal and social conduct. Islam means peace and calls for peace through submission to the will and commandments of God. The revelations continued for twenty three years.
Muhammad continued to pass God’s message to people around him in Makkah for thirteen years. He found severe opposition and harm. He refused all kinds of bribes to abstain from what he was doing. When he and his weak and poor companions found no freedom in Makkah, He ordered them to immigrate to Al-Madinah الــمــَـــدِيــــِــنـــَــة and he followed them later in the company of his best friend Abu-Bakr أبــُــو بــَـــكـــْـــر . The people of Madinah welcomed Muhammad and his companions and provided them with food, shelter and protection.

Mansour:
As salamu 3laykum
A good resum of the life of our Guide Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم, Allah bless is soul.
Sister, just take care of the thing you said and its consequances :
“The birthday of Prophet Muhammad is a turning point نــُــقــطـــة تــَــحــَــوُّل in the human and Arab history. ”
This is why we saw so many Bida3. People worship the days, the moon and sun, but not listen the message.
This is not a turning point “a day”. It’s near the shirk. Why didn’t you said that the turning point is the first word given by Gibryl (as) to the messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم ?
Please correct your mistake إن شاء الله Bida3 is also turning point, various ones.
Allahuma, guide us in the straight path,
ameem.
Fisal:
@Mansour Wa Alykum As-salam,
First I am a brother, not a sister, so correct your mistake, brother.
Second, There is nothing in Islam that is “near shirk”. It is either shirk or not shirk according to my humble mind and knowledge of Islam.
Third, Why didn’t I say like what you said, simply, because I am Not you.
Fourth, Electricity was a turning point in the human history, yet we haven’t seen anyone worshipping it. The same happened with cars, planes, TV, and the computer.
So, brother, I advise you to correct your information about Islam and consider the thin line between Innovation and what you call Beda3. I have nothing to do with what you call consequences of my words because I am not responsible for what you understand. You have your mind and I have mine. Where on earth today one can see people worshipping the days, the moon and the sun !? And how many people are they!? And what is their level of education!? Wake up brother, Islam is the religion of the mind and science. It is the last religion. Do you know why it is the last religion? Because it speaks to the mind and it marks the highlight of the human intelligence, knowldge and science.
Finally, I pray for Allah to forgive us all. Ameen
Hashim:
As salaam alaikum,
I agree with Fisal. With the birth of Prophet Muhammad (Salal Lahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) itself the humanity got someone who can guide them to the correct & straight path.
Because Allah Subhanahu Wa Taala had chosen him (Prophet Muhammad) as His Prophet / Messenger by birth time itself, it is a different thing that, Prophet Muhammad got the relevations & prophecy at a later stage of his life.
So, Mansour, you have understand this.
May Allah Subhanahu Wa Taala guide us all (Ameen, Ya Allah, Ya Rab Al Arshil Azeem).
Tajud:
السلام عليكم
I’m also agree with Faisal. But for Mansour dont heart feeling. Everybody on the way to Allah. I think no body love Prophet Muhammad and after that they will worship of him. We love him because he is Messenger of Allah and one of Iman’s Pillar. Not like Yahoo Messenger (YM). We not celebrate YM every year. If you said it’s bida3, pls show the “persistent” dalil that celebrate Maulidur Rasul is bida3. Dont just take general Hadith.
Even I also listen Wahabiyah Scholar said,… bida3 only have in religous (Deen) matter only. But for very very most important is, we perform what Allah ask us via kalam Muhammad (PBUH) in every seconds of live (breath, ibadah, work, politic, economic, family, etc) NOT JUST celebrate His Day ONLY. Dont quarrel among muslim and at the end our “REAL” enemy will gain the profit.
Tamam
Samer:
Salamu Alaikum brother,
I didn’t understand the reason for including the following line
Peace سلام /salam
If used as reference to Islam, then the translation is surrender (to Allah) استسلام لاوامر الله
Thank you
Fisal:
@Samer Wa Alykom Assalam brother Samer,
I think you have some confusion between the formal Greeting of Islam and The meaning of the word “Islam” itself. The formal greeting of “Islam” is “Peace and Mercy be upon You السلام عليكم و رحمة الله و بركاته” which is sometimes abbreviated to the word “Peace ســلام”. Whereas, “Surrender to Allah الإستسلام لأوامر الله” is only one interpretation (meaning) of the word “Islam الإسلام” which refers to the whole religion. What I meant is only the greeting but abbreviated.
Thanks for passing by and Salam ســَــلام /Peace/ 🙂
