Water Splashing Festival in 90 Seconds Posted by on Apr 13, 2018 in Culture

Every year from April 13-15, the city of Jinghong in southern Yunnan celebrates the Water Splashing Festival (泼水节 – pō shuǐ jié). The first day is full of dragon boat races and an epic release of flying lanterns. On day two, people go to the temple for the washing of the Buddha cleansing ritual. The third and final day is an absolutely wild water fight.
